Biodegradable
A biodegradable material is a substance which can be naturally broken down into simpler components by microorganisms, such as bacteria, fungi, and algae, thereby avoiding pollution. Biodegradation reduces the environmental impact of waste by allowing materials to decompose and reintegrate into the ecosystem without the need for additional human-driven processes. Examples of biodegradable materials include plant-based materials, paper, and some types of bioplastics.
