Competent level

"Have you ever wondered what steps were taken to prevent the need for another taxpayer bailout like the ones experienced during the financial crisis? New rules were introduced with the intention of preventing banks from getting into trouble in the first place, such as capital requirements, capital buffers and lower leverage ratios, but you may not know that new rules were also introduced to deal with failing or failed banks. This pathway will cover bank recovery and resolution regulation in detail. Gilles Renaudiere will outline how recovery and resolution plans are constructed and then implemented if need be. We’ll outline the tools available to banks and resolution authorities, including the likes of bail-in capital, which was implemented through MREL in the UK and TLAC globally. "
